You wake up on a gray Monday morning, so similar to many Monday mornings you’ve experienced of late: You’re unemployed, bills are piling up, and the volunteer group you belong to is becoming so dysfunctional, you’re ready to walk away from it all.
Then, the job that was way off in the horizon and is your dream-job does the unthinkable: They call you with a job offer and a request that you start immediately. Wonderful news that defies what many of the so-called experts say is like finding a needle in a haystack.
That volunteer group then emails you: They’ve decided you’re the leader they need to help the group become functional again. You accept the challenge because the people there are super and you can see in your minds-eye just how great a group they could be.
The clouds part, the sun is shining on what started as a gray Monday morning. What started as a gloomy, unemployed, frustrating Monday became utterly exciting and magnificent.
That’s life! True story and it can happen to you. It can all change in the blink of an eye.
